High School Mentoring

About High School Mentoring Program

The GBCI High School Mentoring Program supports students at Gaithersburg High School as they navigate the challenges of adolescence and prepare for adulthood. Older-adult volunteers serve as consistent role models, engaging students in “Courageous Conversations” that explore topics such as identity, resilience, education, careers, relationships, and leadership. These intergenerational dialogues provide students with a safe space to reflect, ask questions, and learn coping strategies from mentors who bring a wealth of life experience.
