Beloved Community News

The Gaithersburg Beloved Community Initiative (GBCI) is celebrating 15 years of building connection, compassion, and community in Gaithersburg.

 

Since its founding, GBCI has brought generations together to strengthen relationships, support families, and foster an intergenerational Beloved Community rooted in justice and belonging. This milestone marks not only years of service, but the partnerships, volunteers, and community members who have shaped GBCI’s work from the very beginning.

 

GBCI will mark its 15th Anniversary with a community celebration on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. at Rosborough Theater and Community Rooms at Asbury Methodist Village. The event will reflect on past impact while looking ahead to the future of the Beloved Community.

Community members, partners, families, and supporters are invited to join the celebration.
